Vivo V50 series. Vivo has confirmed the launch of its next camera-first V-series smartphone on February 17 at 12 noon. At this event, the company will launch its Vivo V50 series, which will probably include two smartphones Vivo V50 and Vivo V50 Pro. Ahead of the launch event, Vivo has shared several teasers about the V50 series. One thing common in all these teasers is the “So Pro” detail. This clearly indicates improvements in the cameras of the smartphone. Vivo’s V-series has always been a camera-centric series, so the same is expected from the V50 series. Zeiss lenses have also been used in the V-series for a long time.
Vivo V50 series confirmed to launch on February 17
In the teaser shared by Vivo, the company has shown a part of the front and back panel of the new smartphone. This has confirmed some camera and design details. For example, we now know that the Vivo V50 series continues to use Zeiss lenses for the cameras. We also know that the smartphone will have a dual-camera system, housed inside a small round module, with a small design extension at the bottom that sports a small LED ring for the flash.
The teaser also confirms what we already know: the smartphone will have a volume rocker and power button on the right edge of the phone. Also, the images show that the Vivo V50 series has slightly rounded edges, which looks like it will feel very nice and soft when held in the hand. The display also looks almost flat, with just a slight curve at the end. If our guess is correct then the display will be able to provide the best of both worlds: a flat display and a curved one.
Lastly, the phone shown in the teaser image is in a beautiful wine colour, which is quite unique. Vivo has also revealed in the teaser that the Vivo V50 series will come with AI features.
While we are still waiting for many details about the device, we will get to know all the official information on the launch day itself, which is Monday, February 17. The price of the phone will also be revealed on the same day. But to take a look at what kind of pricing we can expect from the Vivo V50 series, if we look at last year’s Vivo V40 series, which had a starting price of Rs 34,999 in India, we can expect a similar price this year as well. Talking about the alleged Vivo V50 Pro, it is expected to be priced under Rs 50,000.
