Ranveer Allahbadia Controversy: Ranveer Allahbadia, who appeared on Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Latent, is in the news on social media today due to his obscene and objectionable comments. The Indian Influential Personalities Association (BIA) has also taken strict action on his objectionable comments and the General Secretary of BIA has called it disgusting and shameful.
Ranveer Allahbadia is a famous YouTuber and podcaster and he has millions of subscribers on his YouTube channel, however, after this controversy, it is being said that his subscribers have reduced to less than 2 million, while #BoycottBeerBiceps is trending on social media.
What was the whole controversy?
Ranveer Allahbadia was recently on an episode of Samay Raina’s show “India’s Got Latent” and he asked a contestant a very vulgar question – “Would you like to watch your parents having sex all your life or would you like to join in once and stop it forever?” and since then it has been trending.
After this, an FIR was filed against Ranveer in Mumbai and Assam and then he apologized by posting a video on social media but now this matter has gone too far and after this comment of his, #BoycottBeerBiceps started trending on social media. People are not only calling his question vulgar but also against society and dignity.
Maharashtra Government and NHRC entry on Ranveer Allahbadia
Maharashtra Government and National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) have also taken strict action in Ranveer Allahbadia Controversy. Mumbai Police and Maharashtra Women’s Commission have filed a complaint against Ranveer, Samay Raina and the organizers of the show.
NHRC member Priyanka Kanungo has directed to immediately remove this video from YouTube India and in the complaint, serious concern has been expressed about the negative, discrimination, religious and cultural intolerance in the society as well as derogatory and obscene things towards women and children through the show and an action report has been demanded within 10 days.
What did BIA General Secretary say on Ranveer Allahbadia Controversy?
BIA General Secretary has said to Ranveer Allahbadia through social media platform X that “A social media influencer @BeerBicepsGuy has shown his true mentality”. What he has said in the name of comedy is not only objectionable but also crosses every limit of morality and it has a negative impact on the society.
